Additional Info: | "Mr. Steele of Garryhallie died suddenly on board his fishing boat 'Veronica' as it was approaching Orosay. His brother and nephew, both Roderick, were with him at the time. His death came as a hard blow to his wife Jessie and young family and his immediate relatives and indeed to the island as a whole where he was well known and respected through his fishing activities and his involvement in sport, (football, badminton, highland games) and other community projects.
