Additional Info: | “The death of Donald Angus Walker came as a shock to all who knew him and cast a gloom all over the island. May his soul rest in peace. The large number who attended his funeral was testimony of the esteem in which he was held, and one could not help but think of the number of funerals which he himself supervised in Hallan and the many acts of kindness and charity that he so quietly and obligingly performed. ‘Gu’n robh iad uile roimhe’ (those that have gone before him) is our prayer.” (Written by Canon John MacLean in 1984) |
