Additional Info: | From the St. Peter’s Newsletter dated 12 February, 2017: “We also pray for the repose of the soul of Morag Ann MacDonald, 86, who passed away suddenly due to a tragic accident at her home in Garrynamonie on Friday. Her remains were taken away to the mainland for a post-mortem. Details of her Funeral Mass, due to take place in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, will be made known closer to time. To her bereaved family and friends, we extend our condolences and assure them of our prayers at this most difficult time.” From the St. Peter’s Newsletter dated 19 February 2017: “We also pray for Morag Ann MacDonald, whose Funeral Mass took place on Thursday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Garrynamonie. Her Mass was celebrated by Fr. Michael MacDonald, assisted by Deacon Martin.” From the St. Peter’s Newsletter dated 26 February, 2017: “Thanks from the Family of Morag Ann MacDonald: Angus MacDonald and all Morag Ann’s cousins wish to thank the following: Bishop Brian, Fr. Michael and Deacon Martin for spiritual comfort; all carers and staff of Taigh a Chridhe Uile Naoimh for respite care; Eucharistic ministers & Medical Staff who attended her for so many years; Paul McCallum, Choir & Angus MacDonald for music; Neil MacIntyre, Undertaker & Angus Walker for graveside duties; Sandy Stephens for Order of Service & provision of readings; Mairi MacLeod for flowers; Polochar Inn for catering; the crew of MV Lord Of The Isles for help with the coffin; Police & Ambulance Crew and also to the firemen who attended the fire and those who helped carry the coffin.
