Baby Iona passed away suddenly only two days after her birth.
This poem was written for her by her relative, Harriett MacMillan, who is the cousin of Angus, Iona's father:
"Up somewhere in the ether is soaring a tiny dove,
given briefly from heaven, made perfect by love.
Her little fledgling wings weren't ready for flight;
it was much too soon to bid her goodnight.
Together now our hearts beat though her wings cannot,
her brief journey among us shall never be fogot.
Though she floats skyward, you are not always apart,
the angel on your shoulder, the dove of peace in your heart."

Flowers of lilies, carnations and roses bearing her name "Iona" were laid at the gravesite by her family. May she rest in peace.
