| Additional Info: | The following was written by Canon John MacLean in the 24th August 1980 Parish Bulletin: "The death of the child, Neil Paul Steel, son of Roderick and Mary Steele, cast a gloom not only on the parish but over the island as a whole. It is difficult to express in words our deep sympathy with the family in their loss, but that sympathy is heart felt and with it goes the prayers of the community. We pray that God will give them the strength to bear it and to carry on their work and duties despite their sorrow." |
