"Iain Alasdair will be sadly missed in the crofting community. Iain Alasdair not only looked after his own home, croft and livestock but also took an interest in and gave a willing hand to all in the crofting township who needed help. The collection taken up at Iain Alasdair's Requiem Mass amounted to 585.00 and was donated to the local group of MacMillan Nurses here on the islands."

The attached photo is a picture that was taken of Iain Alasdair and a neighbour harvesting corn in the nearby village of Askernish. The photo was then made into a postcard by photographer Sue Anderson. Iain Alasdair is on the left, driving the tractor. May he rest in peace.
