Funeral Location:St. Peter's RC Church, Daliburgh

Additional Info:Miss Currie taught in Daliburgh School for 26 years and was also Assistant Head Teacher. Though she officially retired at Easter that year (1998) she remained in the school helping out until a relief was found. Agnes came to Daliburgh School in 1972 and spent most of her academic life teaching Home Economics. Prior to teaching in Daliburgh School, she taught in Tillicultry and Kingussie on the Scottish mainland. She was also a Eucharist Minister at St. Peter's Church, Daliburgh and was one of the first parishioners in the parish to come forward and volunteer to serve the Church in this manner.
"Most of her working life was spent in Uist as a Domestic Science Teacher in Daliburgh School. She also had a great interest and found much satisfaction in looking after her croft with its cattle and sheep. She was very much involved in the life of the parish and will be sadly missed by all who knew her." (Written by Canon John Angus Galbraith in 2006)
